The MSW 342-2r clone has been trialed throughout the North America and at present, seed is being increased for commercial use. It has a relatively early maturity and the skin appearence from the field and from storage is good enough to give some consideration to as it does not have skin blotching like other reds and it does achieve good skin set before harvest. Looks like it will be a contender in North America’s red potato market.
